- CCarolIowa •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 26, 2024We were pleased to have our Red Lobster in Ames, Iowa open on Christmas Day as many dining venues were not. We made a reservation and were seated upon our arrival. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and polite. Our waitress told us her family of eight was sitting at the table across from us. Thank you for being our family on Christmas Day!More infoRed Lobster - AmesPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Ames•4.4

However, don’t let that fool you into thinking that healthy eating and fine dining are unavailable here. You will find many locally owned restaurants that serve homemade foods made from Iowa-grown fruits and vegetables, upscale urban eateries with traditional Italian dishes and restaurants ready with good old-fashioned American food. No matter what your taste, you’re likely to find it this beloved small town.
