La Palombe
Price: Expensive•French•4.9(122)La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).
A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.
The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.
We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.Bergamot Cafe

We are also environmentally conscious and strive to reduce waste by using recyclable materials as much as possible, even in our fit-out, mainly using reclaimed wooden furniture.
Rottura
Price: Expensive•Unspecified•4.7(108)Twin sisters, Elena & Emily grew up in a traditional Italian family, surrounded by food, so naturally always wanted to be in the hospitality industry. Over the years, they have immersed themselves in different culinary experiences by going to some of the world’s best restaurants, these have included El Cellar de can Roca and Osteria Francescana.Cibo
Price: Expensive•Italian•4.9(394)This Kensington local favourite attracts fans from all over the capital who devoutly wish they had a Cibo - there's only one - in their street. The decor is cosy Mediterranean with truly unique artwork on the walls, with smaller rooms providing a sense of intimacy. The staff have that inimitable Italian welcome and capacity for fine service without a lot of fuss. Fish is a speciality of the house, so try pasta filled with crab in a special sauce to start, or the octopus, green bean and potato salad. Then go for the spaghetti with lobster in its own sauce, although the calves liver is delicious, too. Coffee with petits fours are on the don't miss list, too. Servings are huge and the pace is leisurely.

- MMichelleLondon •20 reviews4.0Dined 7 days agoService was very good and it was a great atmosphere. The food was a bit disappointing...I ordered the sticky ribs and expected at least a small rack of ribs, but instead I got 1 rib which was mostly fat...so barely any meat...the wings were lovely...but only 3...I think 4 would be more sufficient. The flavours were very nice and tasty...oh and the menu is quite small so not a lot to choose from. The venue was lovely and the ambience was spot on.More infoChet'sPrice: Moderate• Thai• Shepherd's Bush•4.3
