The food was good, standard Cotes fayre, and the service was fantastic. We were made to feel valued without being smothered

A great place for son’s 16th birthday, pre theatre meal, in his words ‘the best burger he’s had!’ Such great service too, we can’t thank Oliver enough, such a lovely chap! The surprise and super tasty sticky toffee pudding was the icing on the cake!

Lovely welcome when we arrived and staff continued to be friendly and efficient during our visit One of the party has a restricted diet but he enjoyed his French fries and creamed leeks. I felt the portion was very small Good atmosphere as the pub began to fill up Enjoyed our visit and will go back.

The food is gorgeous and the staff were so knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. A wonderful experience!

I asked for a pint of bitter snd no one knew what that meant and then I asked what larger they had and they couldn’t tell me despite the bar having many, when I spotted a bottle of Doombar I was offered ice with it? I was shown to the wrong table. I asked for a brandy and coke and and was asked what type and said I didn’t mind. There response was, I don’t know what brandy is and she really didn’t. A black Woman arrived and understood and was excellent and clearly had at least one else worked in a bar at some point.
