Quadra Island Restaurants

Another great dining experience tonight at Carve Kitchen and Meatery with warm and festive ambience, great service and excellent menu options, that all of us enjoyed.

A lovely and delicious meal where the stars of the show are as much the vegetables and starches (pasta, breads and potatoes) as the well prepared and carefully selected meats that complement them. We enjoyed the dips with bread as an appetizer, a fantastic soup and then the gnocchi with asparagus and mushrooms in a pesto sauce to die for. The braised short ribs fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. The crème brûlée had a hint of coconut flavour is a smooth silky custard and the perfect crunch of burnt sugar on top. Great to find this high quality of food in a small community like Campbell River. It was pulled together in a charming ambience and exceptional table service. Even though there was a Christmas gathering at one end of the restaurant our table was quiet for conversation and the evening was extremely enjoyable.

It is so nice to have a good restaurant in our neighbourhood again! We had dinner with friends and it was wonderful as usual. The food is so good! And the service is always friendly. We really don’t mind placing our order at the bar. After that everything is brought to you and it is still a terrific dining experience. We do wish there were some shareable items on the appetizer list so that we could pop in now and again for a glass of wine and a snack. Otherwise, perfect!

Moxies is a great eatery for families. The menu provides a good selection for any taste with red meat, chicken fish, vegetarian and vegan options. Waiters are friendly and efficient and well trained for the environment. Parking close to the restaurant is very good. The quality of food is appropriate for the type of eatery and overall provides value for money spent. Booth seating is a bit awkward.
