   We had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at 6:30 pm in the Bar area with nice views out the windows and a fabulous singer on guitar to serenade us from 7-8 or so. We were surprised, but delighted by the 3 Course menu and the Rockfish stuffed with Crab Imperial was fantastic. We were greeted with a small glass of champagne and a charcuterie on a stick for each with homemade bread. My wife had the Caesar salad and I had a corn and crab chowder for starters. We loved the chocolate cake for the dessert. I was surprised that a $40.00 gratuity (20%) was included in our bill for two. I think I would have left a bigger tip, but it did not feel right to have that included in the total bill.

   Visited for Valentine’s Day and had the pre-fix menu and everything was delicious! We had the Rockfish w/ Crab and the Surf and Turf for the main entrees.

   Excellent food, nice setting by the lake, very quiet, but overpriced. I had the crab cake, delicious sauce and accompanied by green beans. I loved it, but I don’t think it is worth $47. The old fashion is ok, not great. The dessert, skillet, good to share, but it is too rich for one person.

   We left early… Two big issues. They closed the dining room so we were eating in the hotel lobby. It’s a super nice hotel lobby, but I want to eat in the dining room, not the lobby. (This was especially true because it was our anniversary.) They also canceled the shuttle for the light show at Merriwhether. Before booking, we confirmed that they were doing the shuttles, and that was basically the main reason for picking the restaurant. Their change in policy was hugely disappointing, especially when we went out of our way to confirm.

    Had hoped to have a nice brunch with my family. Service was horrible - incompetent, indifferent, and cavalier. We will not be returning.
