The most authentic and genuine Sichuan cuisine. The most authentic and genuine Sichuan cuisine. The chef is Chef Wang of La vie en Szechuan. Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has traveled to taste it. Chinese celebrities and businessmen are also must-visit restaurants when they come to NY.

If you are going to the theatre and want to eat close by this place is amazing. Only about a 5 minute walk to most Broadway shows it is the perfect place. Other Chinese restaurants in the area are packed but somehow this one is not and the food was so much better than the others. Maybe its the funkball location, across from the mess that is the Port Authority and tucked b/w a McDonalds and Burger King that turns people away…but once you taste the food you wont be sorry for braving the walk. Authentic Szechuan meals and a section in the back of the menu for “American Chinese” food…Might have been some of the best Chinese food I have ever had…that includes the China Town mainstay’s.

Most extensive menu ever. Food was outstanding. Especially loved the Peking duck which is hard to find and which was prepared and presented perfectly. Service was as good as the food.

This is my third visit and the food is always excellent!! The service is just ok. Last night we had to flag our waiter down a few times and I saw other tables having to do the same. They weren't as generous or helpful with sauces this time- like they were my first visits. For instance, no dipping sauce was provided for the dumplings and when I asked for some it came in a small plastic to-go cup with no spoon. Then when I asked for sauce for the fried rice they pointed me to the same small plastic cup of sauce sitting on the table. There were 4 of us dining and they should have brought at least 2 more sides of sauce if it was meant to be used for dumplings and rice for 4 people. They do have a small selection of beer and wine now which is important. Also, every time I come there are insects and fruit flies buzzing about which is offputting and they should work on getting that under control. Still, I would come back because everything we've had is excellent. Here are some of the dishes I've tried: Mapo tofu, peaking duck, springrolls, crystal shrimp dumplings, pumpkin with ginger and scallions, fried rice, shrimp in black bean sauce.

The food was excellent and the presentation was beautiful. The shrimp was delicious and the broccoli perfectly cooked. The spicy garlic dumplings were very spicy but delicious. The vegetable spring rolls were crispy and hot on the inside. The neighborhood is sketchy but the food was worth going slightly west of Times Square.
