We had a great evening at Mister Daruma. Ambience, food and service was amazing and worth every yen!

We recently visited Mr Daruma with our 3 children, after enjoying a wonderful meal there last year. (It was our best meal out during our previous trip to Madarao). We were excited to return and enjoy the same excellent standard of food. Unfortunately, it seems that Mr Daruma has started putting profits before quality. The new course menu which we were obliged to order was expensive and below average for a restaurant in Japan. The children’s plate was similarly expensive and below average. It’s a pity because we had such a great experience last time we visited. We will probably not return next year. Cocktails were decent (if a little overpriced).

This was our 2nd visit. Food and atmosphere was just as good as last year. The staff even added tofu to our course after we said how much we enjoyed it last time.

Great place for a feed, a drink and a good time! Staff were excellent, food is amazing, we had the 8 course feed me menu it was soooo good. Book a table as this is an authentic small place with a great vibe so it’s busy most nights
