Simmer Huang launched on the market in 2004. The main feature of its dish is to apply the traditional cooking method of ‘simmering’ to modern catering. It is cooked completely by the water of the food itself, without adding water to the pot. The main feature of the restaurant is to advocate a standardized Chinese food model of ‘no chef, no smoke, and no repeated use of ingredients’.

Worst customer service ever! The staff was rushing us since we stepped into the restaurant. Repeatedly said we only have two hours in our reservation meanwhile the whole restaurant is empty. We will never come back! Food is not that good and lots of MSG!

I was very disappointed with my visit on Saturday 6th July 2024. Firstly, between the two servers we had not one could explain how their bottomless brunch worked. To add to it they couldn’t refrain from stating it’s for 90mins which we were fully aware of. It’s not value for money because they were taking way too long which felt like it was on purpose to bring over the drinks considering there is time limited. Appalling service. The food was nothing to shout about. My sister ordered a noodle dish with beef and the majority of the “meat” was fat! How can you think that is acceptable to serve! It’s long winded having to order continuously via the QR. And to add insult to injury they overcharged us and thought they could get away with it! I’m not being funny if you don’t want people to indulge in such promotion then don’t host it. I’ve been to many bottomless brunches at other establishments and this is by far the worse - 1/10.

Great place for friends get together. Make sure you time yourself for your time slot as staff won’t give you any reminder. Once it’s time they will just tell you to finish off and pay. Menu selection was average and does not have as many options as the bigger hotpot chains. Overall it was good. Was a little disappointed as we went there for a birthday and there wasn’t any acknowledgment from the staff even when mentioned before the booking special request comment section.

Sorry for the poor experience and lack of acknowledgement regarding your booking notes. We have made some operational changes recently and have a new team of staff which has undergone more customer service related training. We would like to invite you back for a meal.

On arrival, our booking was not on there system but I had confirmation from OT. They seated us, and we were left to our own devices, no explaining how to order or that the single bowls were lunch only. Very short staffed, no one attended to us. Ordered starters which was tasty. Ordered our main, a big pot which was dropped off, the waitress turn on the timer which actually after 10mins still was not cooking… had a call another waiter who then operated it, on the right setting and started cooking! One staff member who worked the bar try to be attentive later by offering the free extras half way through. Maybe they need more staff or time, food was good quality but lacking customer service especially as the food is traditional and we are foreign. Not recommended for a date night or if you don’t know of Korean cuisine or meats.
