   Celebration for my mother's birthday. Challenging to get to the restaurant for someone with limited mobility but we did it. Food was fresh, staff who serviced gave great descriptions, and libations were premium. Menu isn't deep in breadth but what they serve is excellent. Will return.

   Our server, Carlos, was fantastic. We enjoyed the brunch menu and now want to go back for dinner. It was refreshing to have the view of the park while we ate.

   The food on the tasting menu was fantastic. We really enjoyed the beet mustard. In addition, we ordered the oysters which were extremely well done, and unique to prior oysters that we’ve had.

   Large wine selection, attentive service, cozy atmosphere surrounded by a park, creative presentation of food with many delicious flavours. Everything was top shelf! Highly recommend it!

   River cafe is always a treat! Stopped in after dinner for dessert and drinks. As always, the puffed wild rice crackers (as I am gluten free) and lavosh crackers for my partner were excellent. Our server Jane, gave us great recommendations and we ended up going with the cheeseboard. The board had a lovely seasonal preserve and house pickled vegetables. Looking forward to stopping by again soon!

   The River Café is a true gem, nestled in a picturesque setting that feels like a haven. The stroll through the park beforehand sets the tone for a magical experience. On my visit, the perfect weather and lively atmosphere made for great people-watching. The attention to detail in the food, service, and ambiance is exceptional. I appreciate their commitment to using local ingredients, which shines through in every dish. While I jokingly suggested they consider cultivating their own citrus trees, the dedication to local sourcing is admirable. Our server, Tiffany, added a personal touch to the experience. She was always attentive and took care of everything without us. Even noticing, glasses would be filled, and plates would be removed without interrupting our conversation, a testament to a true professional. If I have any minor quibble, it's that I wish I'd brought my own pepper and olive oil, haha – a testament to the café's high standards! Highly recommend the red lentil hummus, the cheese platter with the pickled bok choy, and finishing with the Montecristo coffee was perfect, Overall, a wonderful meal and a perfect day. April 13th was indeed a lucky day. Highly recommend!

    Cream for our Tea was sour and curled when poured. Hashbrowns were hard and saltier than the Dead Sea. Bacon was overcooked, hard and dry. Pancakes we dense and flat. Toast was good. Eggs were good. We've been here several times and this experience was reminiscent of a truck stop diner.
