   I am visiting Chicago for a few weeks, and I have eaten at your restaurant twice.Each time I was privileged to encounter Manager Michael, and Jaafar. During these visits to the restaurant, they were both perfect representations of the RL brand! Each time they were both super attentive to me, as well as all of the RL guest. During my visits, I witnessed each of them resolve issues and exceed the expectations of each guest. Their efforts expressed concern and gratitude to each diner. On several occasions I witnessed each of them handle potential issues with grace, resolving issues and putting out the fire before it had a chance to flare up. The experienced left me felling welcomed and gave me the impression that I was important to the restaurant and brand. Often time African American customers are disregarded or spoke down to by restaurant staff. During my visit each of them witnessed this mistreatment by customers or other staff and immediately did their part to correct the wrong and to ensure I had an excellent experience….and that I did! They both did their part to ensure that I had wonderful time. Each time I visited,I left with a smile on my face. It’s my belief that God gives some people the gift of kindness and generosity and I believe both of them have that gift and I would like to humbly thank them for being considerate, kind and generous, and for making my experience wonderful! Life is short and kindness is important and I believe in my heart that they both understand that, and know how to treat others. RL, Thank you for having them both on your staff and for allowing them to bless others with their presence! Meeting them was the highlight of my visit to CHICAGO.

   Wonderful cozy spot. Tables are tight, so better to check your coat in winter months. Perfect spot to take a break from Holiday shopping

   It was a frigid, 20 degree day in the Windy City & RL Host & Hostess were kind as guests crowded into the small space to wait for tables to turn so those holding reservations could be seated. Our wait was 15 min. past our reservation which was not bad for a holiday weekend. It was worth the wait as we were escorted to a prime corner booth. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable & kind & our lunch was tasty. Great experience!

   Beautiful restaurant, but way too busy, noisy and overcrowded. Not an enjoyable ambiance for me.

   A happy vibe but still easy to chat. Tables are on top of each other but you don’t feel crowded. Love RL. ❤️

    The food at RL Restaurant was absolutely amazing—every dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The ambiance was also beautiful, creating a lovely atmosphere for dining. However, I think it would benefit more if it were just reservations-only. It’s a small space, and it was overly crowded and quite loud, which took away from the otherwise great experience. With fewer walk-ins, it could be even more enjoyable for guests.
