This was our third visit since they opened. We loved the entire experience from the great bartender that made some crazy non-alcoholic drinks, the amazing pastry chef who creates magical dessert combo's and the overworked chef who micro manages the entire process to make sure everything is perfect. Thank you for another great ride!

Fantastic food in an amazing environment. Approachable enough to make you feel comfortable, but the things they do with food will blow you away dish-after-dish. Go with the Journey menu and get the pairing, you won't regret it.

We first met R.J. Cooper at a charity event a few years ago and were intrigued by what we learned about his (then) new restaurant. What took us so long? Merely finding Rogue 24 is an adventure in and of itself, nestled in an alley way that is seemingly far removed in both place and time from the nearby DC Convention Center. This physical journey represents an excellent metaphor for the visual and flavor excursions to come. One should plan four hours for your Rogue 24 visit, which allows ample time to savor each delightfully distinctive course. We found the wine/beer pairing to be an excellent choice. It is difficult to call out favorites from 24 courses, but expect to enjoy grilled snail with a basil sauce, lamb tartar, waygu beef, and scrumptiously roasted beets among other delights. We look forward to returning again soon!

This was our third visit to Rogue 24. Also the third time we did the full 24 course menu, along with the full beverage pairing. The two previous times, we thought there was some real thought that went into the pairings, this time there were 6 wines, definitely of lower quality and we were never sure why they were served and how many courses they were meant to pair with. We had an opening "cocktail" after the first bite and on the table for several more bites. We then got a full flute of champagne (which we never finish), for one bite, then a bottomless cheap white blend for it seemed like 10 bites. We then had a Chilean Pinot Noir for one or two bites, then a Borolo for the end of the meal, including dessert which was 6 small sweet bites. Overall of the 24 bites, 4 were memorable, and some like the beef course which we thought was outstanding on previous visits, now clearly used a cheaper cut of meat. For two, our total bill including tip was over $500. It would have been an interesting evening at half the price, tonight we feel we were taken advantaged of. (Don't think we are cheap, in the last year we have had 3 multi-multi course dinners for two where the bill was well over $900, and those meals were worth every cent.)

A lovely evening. A special treat while in DC. Completely out of the way down a back alley, surprising location and menu. The chef was very gracious. An overall good night.

My wife and I got the 24-course "journey" menu. It was a 3.5 hour delight. Every dish was interesting, delicious, and not too big. Cocktails were great. Very welcoming staff. It felt like being invited to dinner at the Mad Food Scientists Club.

While it is a very extravagant night out, the ambiance, staff and food make fit for a very special occasion. Some of the food was a little strange (a cricket inside a botan-like candy), it all tasted fantastic and the service was exceptional. Very friendly and informative.

We had gone to Rogue last year for a 10-course meal and it was great. This time we decided to go for the 24-course menu based on the chef's advice. It was horrible. It was as if a bunch of kids with sweet tooths were allowed to run amuck in the kitchen. I don't know what happened during the year in between, but to charge 200(per person including wine) for the meal we had was a crime.

We were visiting from the UK and found this place in the 'where chef's eat' book. We originally booked a table for 2, then our friends wanted to try it out too. I couldn't see a free table for 4 on the website, but an email to the restaurant was answered straight away. The location is a little hard to find, but I had read it was down an alley way and we found it easily enough. Love the décor and general feel of the place - very relaxed. We opted for the 24 course journey together with wine pairing. Every course was beautifully presented and delivered on taste too (the white truffle is so worth the extra $'s) All in all, a very enjoyable evening and I'd highly recommend this place. The staff are great and the chef is quite a character. It's not a cheap night out, but it's worth it for the experience.
