   We have not been to this location for at least 10 years. The food, service, and ambiance were very lacking. We tried it again on this trip, and everything was fantastic. Christen, our server was great, the service was quick and efficient, and the food was perfect.. Compared to other similar big island hotel restaurants, the price was very reasonable. Our new favorite!

   Great dinner! We really enjoyed the crab cakes and all the fish entrees. The swordfish special was particularly excellent. I don't normally like swordfish because it's usually tough and dry. Roy's swordfish is succulent and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend giving it a try.

   Celebrated my birthday here and it was wonderful. Six of us had fabulous meals and great service . Arnie the general manager is great, he greets people while keeping a good eye on his staff. It’s a well run restaurant. Kathy Solberg

   My wife and I are full-time Big Island residents. We dine at Roy's often. Roy's consistently offers the best food on the island, especially considering the price. All of the dishes are tasty and beautifully presented. The service is always outstanding.

   Food was very good. It’s what we expected. The service, despite a server’s assistant, was sub par and slow to get food and drinks. Not quite sure why since the place wasn’t completely full. I would go again with the hope that service would be faster.

   Food at Roy's is always too notch. On the other side of the coin was the service in the restaurant. One of the worst experiences ever in a Roy's restaurant anywhere. Horrific

    We love Roy’s and go on every visit to the Big Island. We have food allergies and have found that Roy’s will make accommodations that we need. Their new menu has gluten free items clearly marked. Our server was knowledgeable and took great care of us. He went back to the kitchen and checked on any questions we had. I had the snapper and shrimp with rice instead of polenta. It was excellent. My husband always has the butterfish. Several in our party had the chocolate soufflé for dessert, but I had guava sorbet since I’m also dairy free. We had a great meal, with great service.
