   They seemed very short staffed. The food was good and the staff did their best but it was unpleasently noisy even though only about 2/3 of the tables occupied.

   Sooooo disappointed. Have eaten at Roy’s many times over the years and this by far was the worst. Way too many wonderful places so will NOT be back. Restaurant was busy but not packed. Wanted to enjoy a drink before ordering but then were just ignored. Finally ordered and it took almost an hour. They didn’t pace out the food and brought appetizer and salad together since they forgot the appetizers. 2 of the 3 entrees were not good! Food quality (look and taste) was like a mass production premade food line that had been taken off a buffet and served on a plate. Just bad. Complained and they brought out a lobster tail - that was actually fairly decent. Throwing more food at us after complaining about food quality and service, not a solution ! The best thing all night was the Caesar salad. Sad that this establishment that always has such a great reputation has gone down hill.

   Delicious food beautifully presented in an inviting atmosphere. As we are staying nearby at one of those huge resorts with mediocre, overpriced food, Roy's is a refreshing respite. Ask for Franny as your server!

   Everything was great, best Roy’s we have been to, even better than original at Hawaii Kai. The service and food were excellent. Scotty, the manager was great and attentive.

   From entering the restaurant the hostesses was very inviting and friendly, the restaurant was clean and the ambiance was perfect. Our server, Julian, was just the best snd the food was second to none! We highly recommend Roy’s!

   My wife and I are full-time Big Island residents. We dine at Roy's often and it is our favorite restaurant. Why, because Roy's has one of the best executive chefs (Tyler) and kitchens in Hawaii. In addition to Roy's delicious standard menu, chef Tyler adds creative, tasty nightly specials using local ingredients whenever possible. His dishes are always beautifully plated and truly outstanding!

   Service here is five stars, but I took one star off because I felt the snapper fish was overcooked, and the pineapple cake for dessert, though delicious, was dry. Additionally, we were seated in the last corner table at the back of the restaurant, next to a large family. Initially service was efficient, our drinks and appetizer came out quickly, but once the large family left, it felt like we were forgotten. We waited quite a while for our dinner. We did not say anything, but clearly it was too long because our server, and I believe the manager, both apologized more than once for the delay. I would still return, but request NOT to be seated at the "last" table in the back of the restaurant.

   We thoroughly enjoyed yet another Roy's date night dinner out with pupus, salad and entree. The quality and presentation of everything was impressive. Heather our server was very professional and efficient - we never felt rushed. Skye showed us to our table and continued to float throughout the evening. Arnie, the GM, checked on parties to be sure all was good in addition to assisting on the floor where needed. Mahalo!

   We got there early just as they opened which is highly recommended as we got prompt service and the ambiance makes for easy conversation. Justin was our server, he was personable and made our meal a memorable occasion. The cuisine as usual was outstanding 👏
