   Food was wonderful. Service was terrible. Waiter didn’t pay attention to order. It took 25 minutes to get two pieces of cheesecake and two glasses of port, the included dessert, after the entry was cleared from the table.

   Took a while to be greeted as we entered and it set the stage for the rest of the evening. Took a really long time for each stage of the meal, particularly the entrees. The food was just okay.

   Always a great experience at Roy’s. Friends were visiting from neighboring island and Roy’s is our »go to » for a great evening and great food.

   We have been coming to Roys for many years and very sorry to say it has really gone down hill. It took 90 mins for the dinners to arrive. The fish dinners were cold when brought to the table. Tableware was missing, and water glasses were not kept filled. Some items were substituted and not as discribed on the menu, or not brought to the table without asking for them. Service and staff seemed unable to handle their responsibilities. We Will not go back.

   Seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. Took another 15 minutes to place an order. Food out slow. We have been to many Roy’s which we have loved and was disappointed.

    Our experience started bad and only got worse. We arrived a few minutes before 7 for our 7 p.m. reservation. We were “greeted” by a sourpuss woman who whose only greeting was “Name?” We then waited 15 minutes to be seated. No apology, no excuse, no explanation. Once seated we waited 10 more minutes before our waitress came around and another 15 before our drinks arrived. I don’t know if our waitress had too many tables or just didn’t care but she was scarce. Food took over 30 minutes and it was not worth the wait. We both had fish that was largely tasteless but nevertheless expensive. We had soufflé for dessert and it was excellent. I’d also note that the busboy did a great job and appeared to be the only person truly working. At dinner”s merciful end I had to chase down our waitress to pay the bill. Finally, the decor of the restaurant is redolent of a VFW hall or maybe an Elks Club. Even if the food was free we would not eat here again.
