We had a 9:00pm reservation on Xmas Eve and did not get seated until 9:45pm. Not great for our kids. Once we got seated, while the server was good, they had run out of many items which again was dissapointing. Too top it off, after making us wait and seating us late, they turned up the lights and let us know they were closed. When we asked to speak with a manager about the lights going on, he said they were closed and that was it. Needless to say our Christmas Eve was ruined. I hate writing this as I am a fan of Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, but they way we were treated on a special holiday night was honestly unforgiveable.

Our Christmas Eve dinner was perfect. The food was A+, the ambiance was festive (great playlist!) and our service was impeccable. Anna our server was the perfect combination of engaging and giving us our privacy. She very much made our night more memorable with her kindness, humor and relatability. The steaks were fabulous! We have been to Joe’s, Fioretta, and Bavette’s recently. This was our first time at RPM Streak and I would say that they are the superior choice.

It was a birthday dinner. They sat us 20 minutes after our reservation time and told us they can’t tell people to leave. Waiter asked how we are and I told him we’re pretty upset and annoyed because we just waited 20 minutes past a reservation. And his response was “ok” and said nothing else. If you’re going to make someone commit to your reservation with a contingent “no show” fee. Then you should 100% be asking people to get up after there 2 hour reservation. Because you’re just screwing the next people over if you don’t.

Check your bill, folks! After reviewing my receipt, I found the 3.5% service charge with the disclaimer that it's being added to offset their rising costs and that it will be removed on request. I just paid $250 for lunch for 2 people for a special occasion. The shady charge is unacceptable. It's supposed to be a high-end establishment. Act like it!

While the food was phenomenal, there were several issues with out experience at RPM. 1) We waited almost 40 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. 2) I reserved a booth and we ended up being seated at the high-tops at the bar. 3) We had 2 servers "sharing" duties. They were not in sync and we had to answer the same questions about our order multiple times. They did not seem to communicate and and it felt very disjointed. They both tried to rush our order after being seated less than 5 minutes, but then took a while to check back in on us throughout the meal. I did let the host stand know we celebrated an anniversary, and there were a few added touches that were appreciated for the special day. We also did really enjoy the food.. however, I'm not sure I would return to RPM Steak in the near future given the service
