    There are many better options in Boston. It was a pretty average experience. The rooms downstairs are not particularly enticing. The steak was very good and cooked well, FWIW.

    Was expecting more. Was in NYC Ruth’s and had an awesome dinner and service. Was just a little underwhelmed with the food. Wasn’t easy cutting the t-bone. Sides and dessert were good.

    Fantastic dinner experience! Server was friendly, helpful with menu items & attentive throughout the meal. Six of us shared 3 cowboy ribeyes cooked Pittsburgh style & we all agreed it was possibly the best steak we’ve ever eaten! Sides and desserts were spot on. Wine with dinner was excellent.

    Fabulous evening from manager John to the girls at the front desk to our waiter Diego couldn’t have had a better evening

    I must say this was a very disappointing experience. I felt terrible for our waitress Jess who was great and the manager Paul who did his best. Sad that a "steak" house, cannot cook a steak the way it was ordered. Now, was not busy, 1st ones through the door. 2 steaks, ordered cooked differently and both not even close. One was sent back, only to return not long after. Filet mignon ordered medium, was medium rare to rare even after it was sent back. The other steak I didn't even bother with after that. I wanted my bil exactly for what we had and informed Paul I would not be happy otherwise. He did remove an appetizer. I did not slight Jess the waitress for the kitchens ineptitude and made sure she was tipped very well. Upon leaving, Paul offered us a gift card, I refuse and thanked him. So sad for a steak house of their magnitude.

    My first cut onto my petite filet revealed a lot of fat. Not what I expected from a filet (supposedly a center cut). Lobster tail was over cooked. Ambience was basically non existent. Very basic. The manager did take the filet off the bill but will never be going back. Better value, quality of food and ambience at 1928 on Beacon Hill.
