PURE Indian cooking prides itself in being a family run restaurant and one with impeccable credentials.
Owned by the husband and wife team of Faheem Vanoo and Shilpa Dandekar, both of whom started their careers with the famed Taj group in India, PURE Indian Cooking opened in 2015.
Since then, with Faheem managing front of house and Shilpa, who has worked with such masterchefs as the legendary Raymond Blanc OBE and Sriram Aylur of the Michelin starred Quilon, heading the kitchen, the restaurant has amassed a strong following as a refined as an exceedingly good local restaurant, with many clientele calling it a London “West End restaurant in Fulham!”

A modern, glass-fronted Indian on the burgeoning strip between The Bedford pub and Balham High Road, Indian Room has found itself something of a haven for couples. It must be the serene whiteness (table linen, walls) and candlelight. Then there’s the health-conscious cooking using as little as oil as possible. Well worth trying are the handful of dishes unique to this popular local restaurant, a wonderful apricot chicken Kashmir among them. Chicken madras, and a super-hot chicken vindaloo are consistently the most-ordered of the ‘All Time Favourites.’

Le restaurant Tangawizi à East Twickenham à Londres, près de Richmond Bridge, a gagné la dévotion des habitants bien nantis dès le départ. Le chef est « formé et fortement recommandé par Vineet Bhatia », cela en dit beaucoup. La salle à manger est très élégante, éclairée dans le safran et la mûre avec des détails des magnifiques tissus sari incrustés dans les tables. Les plats sont authentiques de l'Inde du Nord, mais avant-gardistes et contemporains, comme les Londoniens les aiment : les ingrédients les plus frais, peu d'huile et des saveurs pétillantes. Essayez le plateau mixte de hors-d’œuvre à partager pour parcourir les possibilités, puis choisissez quelque chose comme le vivaneau rouge épicé et mariné dans une pâte tempura servi avec du cheddar et un risotto au parmesan, accompagné d'un des somptueux Dahls. Les serveurs traditionnellement vêtus sont très attentifs et toute l'expérience est un succès.

Following the success of his first restaurant in Vauxhall, chef and founder Ajay Chaurasia has opened a second site in Wimbledon, bringing his own personal take on Indian cuisine to South-west London. On offer is a range of lesser-known regional dishes along with plenty of tried-and-tested favourites so there’s something for everyone at this bright and cheerful restaurant.

Chaurasia’s aim is to bring together flavours from all over the Indian continent, Sharing appetizers includes the likes of king prawns (Tiltala Jhinga) and sticky tamarind wings with avocado chat - a contemporary spin on the classic street food snack. Tandoor highlights include Murgh Hariyali Tikka, which is grilled chicken breast marinated with fresh green spices and yoghurt, as well as vegan options, too.

Critically acclaimed Chef Rohit Ghai and Abhishake Sangwan will return to Mayfair - the neighbourhood where Rohit made his name and they first began to work with one another – to launch Manthan.

Manthan, meaning to churn and reflect, is inspired by Ghai's extensive international career to date, and dishes will reflect his culinary experiences – both professional and personal – in kitchens all over the world as well as the street food markets, he has frequented for over 20 years throughout India.

Drinks-wise, a concise cocktail menu has been compiled by Abhi, formerly of Trishna and Bombay Bustle. The name Manthan also refers to the churning of the oceans and references Hindu mythology.
