One of LA’s best Italian restaurants, Locanda Veneta aims to transport you to Venice, Italy. Where the freshest and often deceptively simplest ingredients are combined and cooked into art. The cozy room, often dotted with celebs, is elegant but there’s nothing fussy about the menu. Here you’ll find favorites such as a fresh-vegetable minestrone; wild mushroom risotto; and spinach and ricotta cheese gnocchi. Garlic, fresh herbs and olive oil dress many of the pasta, meat and fish dishes; and the veal scaloppini gets a different preparation every night. My go to restaurant in Los Angeles. Took my daughter and son-in-law and brother and sister-in-law from out of town and snagged a table in the garden. The ambiance there is great. Food was stellar as always. This is the only place you can get lemon pasta and it’s always outstanding.

Priscilla and the entire staff and crew at Piccilo Paradiso is awesome. The noise inside however at dinner time made it really difficult to hear dinner guests at the table. Suggestion is not to host large groups at the bar in front of the dinner tables. And while a huge deal, having a large screen TV in the gorgeous dining area takes the experience down a notch! But LOVE you guys! M.F.

Nerano is a jewel. A smallish local place with fabulous Italian food. The small pizzas are a perfect starter for friends having dinner together. The linguine with clams was perfect. The small (8 oz.) steak -- while not very Italian -- was wonderful, tender and tasty with mashed potatoes on the side.
