Ten is a modern Japanese tapas style restaurant, centrally located on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall.

Since 2006, Ten has served a variety of both traditional and original cuisine.

Chef Pei Jen Chang sources ingredients from the finest local, regional, and international sea and farm purveyors, and strives to offer fare that will appeal to the gamut of culinary palates.

Our bar menu boasts an extensive wine list, an assortment of imported and local craft beers, as well as one of the largest collections of sake in Virginia. In addition, we offer a unique selection of libations, such as hand-crafted Asian inspired cocktails, assembled using inventive, authentic ingredients, or a 'Sake Flight', which allows for the subtle, intricate flavors of three selected varietals to be experienced.

Our server Wyatt, was fantastic. Food, saki, and service were on point. We were very pleased with the experience and look forward to joining you for dinner again when we are back in town.

Maya is now accepting reservations from 4:30-8:30 Monday through Saturday as well as curbside take out orders during the same hours. Please visit our homepage to see our updated selections daily. M6 Husband and I were passing thru Charlottesville and chose Hamiltons for a late lunch. Our Hostess hung our coats and seated us in a comfy booth. We both chose the Crabcake entree served on sautéed spinach and basmati rice. Our choice did not disappoint! The crabcake was the best I've ever eaten! We highly recommend this restaurant!

The drinks were very good. We waited at the bar until the table was ready. The Brasserie G&T was so tasty! The bartender was friendly and efficient. He was so busy, it was impressive with how quickly he was putting out drinks for the servers. I think there was only one draft beer available, but my husband was happy with the local beer that was offered. (There were many others available in cans or bottles). We were seated at a nice booth prior to the reservation time. The bread and butter was fresh and delicious. I had the crab cakes and my husband had the NY strip. Both were very good. The crab cakes were fried, but not at all greasy. There was no discernible filler and the house made tartar sauce was delicious. We chose the crème caramel for dessert. It was a very nice custard with berries and a thin caramel sauce. Everything was great. The service was very good, but all the servers seemed to be overextended. Maybe they were a little short handed last night. Overall, it was an excellent meal and we will definitely go back.

Service good however very disappointed with meals this time compared to other meals here. The Berkshire Pork chop was thin and lots of gristle and roasted squash was cold.

Server was great- very attentive, polite and friendly. The wait for food was a little long, and the noise level was a little too loud. But the food was great- pizza and salads were delicious!
