   They were overwhelmed with the number of customers during our 6:30 appointment time. All in all, our server Joseph, the cooks, staff, etc, did a great job during this customer overload time during Christmas when they have EXCELLENT decorations and ambiance. Now, … was it the best service, best food preparation, nice enjoyable ambience from an activity and noise perspective that we’ve had at the restaurant …. the answer is No! Will we go back, …. the answer is Yes. Will we rethink the day and time we select during Christmas the next time, … the answer is ABSOLUTELY!! It was also clear that due to this overload, they didn’t have time to review our special request that was provided. However, when I presented what we’d ask for to the hostess, she did her best at accommodating it, which we appreciated!

   The service was excellent. The food was outstanding.. loved the Christmas decoration. Dinner with friends and we were not rushed. They let us sit and talk without rushing us. Definitely recommend Sam’s.👍

   Decorated for the holidays, there was a full house of large groups enjoying the season. Our server Marty was great and promptly met our every need.

   Christmas time at Sam’s. There is no comparison Old school St. Louis. Good food but truly it’s the ambiance that brings us back every year

   Sam’s is always a treat, especially at Christmas time. The remodeled “back room” now resembles the rest of the restaurant - it’s awesome now! No more Old Country Buffet” look anymore!

   Good morning, My wife and I came in last night and had dinner for the first time. We both can not say enough about our experience. We can not be more pleased with our experience. Our server was Greg. He was absolutely amazing. He allowed us to have a very relaxing dining experience and to say he’s one of the best people we have ever had serve us is an understatement. He’s a gem and you’re very lucky to have him on your team. We both ordered cocktails. Not all places make what we would consider good drinks. Your folks obviously have experience in craft cocktails. They were delicious and well balanced. She had the Manhattan and I had the Maple Bourbon Smash. Delightful! We shared the deviled eggs…what mastermind created these?? The whole sweet salty combo from the maple syrup to the pork belly..wow! Amazing flavor. We could have stopped there…but no…we both had the house salad with the house Mayfair dressing..you all have nailed this! Moving on the the Prime Rib, the fluffiest baked potato I have had out, perfectly grilled asparagus and sautéed mushrooms…and that horseradish mousse….not to mention the flourless chocolate torte…good lord.. We had our anniversary dinner at Ruth’s Chris. We should have made reservations with you…not that it was bad at all..but the experience we had last night with you all was much more superior… Again please thank Greg for us! And thank the rest of your staff for the amazing service and dinner we had last night! Cheers!

   Lovely evening. Lovely dinner. A bit of a wait - apparently they were hit with a crowd. Server was friendly and very competent. It is not a cheap dinner - but it was a good one.
