I love dining at the Select Oyster Bar, they arguably have the best seafood in the city. The service is also excellent. The only issue I have is the noise level, it gets very loud when busy, especially in the back room. I wish they would try to address it.

The wine list and oysters are top notch. Cory’s service is second to none. What a great experience overall.

No Desserts. No Coffee. Feels wrong at the end of an expensive meal.

Oysters were spectacular. Everything else was excellent. Server was very attentive and helpful. Tables are very compact - we were in the bar room.

I should probably be more critical. I’ve been coming here since this spot first opened, usually have a pretty good experience. I mean it’s no Krasi next door but whatever. Last night I reserved a table for date night. We arrive on time and their front staff start scrambling apparently unready for the resy… that’s fine. They then take us to the bar. I let them know quietly that I’d reserved a table and they said they couldn’t come up with one without rushing the service to get us out. That’s really nice of you to consider the next reservation, especially after making us wait 15 mins to get seated in the first place but clearly could care less about us. Bartender was cool. Mainly the reason I gave it 2 stars was the above but honestly the food this time wasn’t as great as previously. Got a bad oyster - that happens. But for the prices..? Probably won’t be coming back anytime soon, there’s plenty of good seafood options in Boston that won’t ignore your reservation details, make you wait, and then say well we can only accommodate you if you leave early. EDIT: my girlfriend is now sick as well. We shared the clam dish and she had a single oyster. Something was off with the food. We both got sick. Not a great experience for us!

They include tip automatically which I don’t agree with (I think that a tip should be increased or decreased based upon the service). Other than that it was really good food and service

Some of the best oysters in Boston. Very innovative seafood menu. The lobster salad is a must have. Very pricey but worth trying at least once. Small portions.
