    My salmon was overcooked and very dry. A filet ordered medium was served too rare. Staff did not round to check if orders were acceptable. The artichoke dip was served with too few toasted sour dough slices. The dip was tasty. The calamari was good. Everyone enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. Service was friendly. Table could have been cleared more, . With 6 patrons. Attention to drinks and refills was high. Cost was $413.

    Everything about our dining experience was excellent! Our server was personable and professional. The food was what we have come to expect from Skates! My wife's poke bowl with ahi was excellent. My open faced crab sandwich is what bay area dining is all about! Our lavendar cosmos made the day!

    Service staff was great but was surprised how long it took to get all our food from the kitchen considering we were one of the first parities seated. To be fair, the restaurant did fill up pretty quickly due to a couple of birthday celebrations. The Kung Pao calamari was ok but the sauce overpowered it from time to time giving a sweet aftertaste and not spicy at all The Caesar salad was good and I couldn’t get enough of the croutons. I had the grilled salmon with the smallest amount of rosemary butter while my friend had the crab Benedict which he enjoyed. Both of us had potatoes that came with our dishes that were just bland. I would give this place another go but might try it for happy hour with friends. The restaurant def needs some updated tech like a code scanner to make redeeming Landry’s Select rewards much easier. I felt bad the staff had to write everything down by hand. They were great in making sure it got taken care of though.
