Soby’s New South Cuisine is an eclectic blend of contemporary continental cuisine infused with traditional Southern ingredients, transforming old favorites into something fresh and new. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Greenville, in a renovated cotton mill built in the 1800s. The atmosphere is warm and energetic and the staff is well-trained to provide a fantastic dining experience for all of our guests. In addition, the wine list offers more than 500 selections and is a Wine Spectator Magazine award-winner regular.

                                            Zack was our waiter and he is fantastic! We ask for him because he was such a great server last time we were at Soby's. The mushroom appetizer is excellent. I had the crab cakes and my husband had a special strip steak....delicious!! My husband and I have been patrons of Soby's since its inception in the late 90's. We still enjoy dining with this restaurant. I highly recommend!

                                            Our meals there are consistently amazing. The wait staff always just the right amount of attentiveness. They have best Old Fashioned in the city of Greenville.

                                            We were recommended to go here from someone at the State Park. It absolutely fit what we were going for. It was our anniversary and we were looking for something a little more than casual, with great food. This hit the spot! The atmosphere was perfect, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great!! We were surprised how clean it was in there. Overall great experience and definitely worth coming back to!

                                            Our usual visit before a Peace Center show didn't disappoint once again. We book about a week or two ahead in order to assure a reservation due to many patrons are also Peace Center attendees. The front desk is always very polite and strives to make you feel like a valued customer. Seating is usually on time except possibly for times when there are special events downtown. The service staff is attentive and friendly; again continuing with the valued customer theme. As a side note, this theme is also carried by the valet attendants who always greet you with a smile and friendly "Have a pleasant evening". Menu choices are varied and very professionally presented. My wife always has the Crab Cakes. I try my best to vary my choice, but always seem to favor the filet or short ribs because they are fantastic. For the very rare time if you show any sign of disappointment the issue is promptly addressed and corrected. Bottom line: Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

                                            Not really pleased with my experience last night at Soby’s. I thought this place was a premiere restaurant here in Greenville but definitely not something I’ll be itching to go back to. Filet was overcooked and the sides were absolutely terrible. Nothing to write home about and the food is very forgettable!

                                            Excellent! I had the octopus appetizer and the rack of lamb, both were very good, the rack of lamb was outstanding. Do not miss Soby's if you are in Greenville, paradise for foodies!

Then the excellent service and presentation / tastes of every beverage and food! Enjoyed our go to faves of brussel sprouts, beet salad, fried chicken and short ribs! Perfect before the Peace Center!
