Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar is situated in a 150 year old Seagram’s building, minutes west of the Waterloo Uptown Core. The interior soars two stories high to a timber frame ceiling, exposed brick and generous wood finishes, set the tone for an elegant yet casual experience.

The menu will transport your palate to a bistro somewhere in Europe. Items ranging from fresh-baked pizzas, pastas, vegetarian entrées, steaks, and seafood will satisfy any appetite. An extensive award winning wine list, great selection of Scotch, local and imported beers on tap complement the experience. Service is professional yet friendly.     We had ana excellent meal celebrating Christmas early with our two granddaughters. The service from Rachel was outstanding. The restaurant was packed with Christmas parties yet the service was kept to its excellent standard. The food was excellent.

    Each of the four of us ordered different dishes. We all enjoyed our lunch and small desserts. The Service was very good. I do often recommend Sole to others

    From the time we stepped in the door, the service we experienced was outstanding. It was just right, not overdone: the offer to check our coats, the hostess bringing us to our seats, the server providing fantastic service without 'hovering'. The brunch menu offered a good selection to suit many tastes. I ordered the Salmon Benedict and it was the best I've ever had (and I've eaten this dish hundreds of times). The smoked salmon was fantastic, smoky and melt in your mouth. The Hollandaise sauce was lemony and light and didn't separate. The only detractor from this amazing meal was the volume of the music. It was loud enough that I couldn't hear my table-mates speaking at times. To end the meal we had the creme brulee. Again, flawlessly done with just the right amount of sugar and vanilla. And as we were getting ready to leave, our waitress brought a treat to go for the two birthdays we were celebrating. A perfect gift to end a perfect meal. Thank you!

    Sole was our choice to celebrate our 15th anniversary, which was worth it. As first-timers, we loved the ambiance and the service (Rachael was amazing S2), the food was delicious but a bit in the pricy area. We had baked brie and steak tartare followed by a blue cheese and pear pizza, which was so good out of this world! For dessert, we picked the creme brulee and a pineapple pavlova and were surprised with a small treat from Rachael for our anniversary, we loved it. Overall, it was a good experience. I will 100% consider coming back for our next anniversaries.

    I was very excited to see the renovations, they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is classy and warm with a rustic charm built in. We were a larger group and our two servers were attentive and welcoming. The hospitality was on point. Small things, like brining some ginger ale in a flute for a guest who doesn't drink so that he could participate in a toast with the rest of the table, show how you are going the extra mile for your guests. Food was delicious, everything from the salads to the mains were full of incredible flavours and textures. The detail put into having a specific plant based menu made it a new favourite spot for one of our guests. We will be back for sure, especially since this time we didn't have time to try dessert.
