   Had a cocktail. The ice cube took up 90% of the glass. Maybe 1oz of actual drink. Gnocchi was super mushy, basically mashed potatoes. Looked back at the kitchen and saw a chef grab a spoon, taste a sauce, and then use the same spoon to taste something in a different skillet. The tuna app price is the same but now get 1 less piece. Off night. Ususally great.

   We had the best time at Sotto - the hazelnut honey & goat cheese grilled bread will forever be a favorite. Our server was incredible and knowledgeable about the menu, and he had the best suggestions. We can't wait to come back!

   My husband I were really looking forward to Sotto! We have tried to get reservations here multiple times and were excited to finally get to go. We had heard many wonderful things and wonderful reviews. We got a high top table not realizing it was a community table. When seated we were placed beside 2 women who were extremely loud. When the waiter came to take our order it was very hard to hear him as he explained the menu to us. I could not even hear my husband sitting across from me. As the women continued drinking their wine they got louder and began cussing a lot. Others at the community table were getting frustrated too. I turned to talk to the women and asked if they could not be as loud so others around could enjoy their meal and stop the profanity. It just really ruined the atmosphere especially sitting so close to each other. Women informed us it was a public place and we could leave as they continued to get louder. About that time a serve came to bring appetizers and my husband asked if we could sit somewhere else and explained the situation. She left with the food. We waited a while to see if the situation would be fixed in some way. After waiting we decided to just leave. As we were leaving I stopped and talked to the manager and said we were leaving and explained the situation and how it just ruined the experience. He just nodded and didn’t try to rectify the situation. Overall just disappointed in the experience and sad we never even got to try the food because it did look amazing and we were so excited for it.

   Amazing food, service and ambiance. DO NOT book the high top table. It’s 8 people jammed together on each side of the table. You are literally sitting shoulder to shoulder with people you don’t know and the wait staff have no room to reach between. We saw one couple be seated and then get up to leave 5 mins later. Otherwise, this place is amazing! Easily one of the best - if not the best - restaurants in Cincinnati!

   Trevor at the bar was amazing!! The hostess were fabulous! Due to traffic we we’re rubbing 20 Minutes behind. They did all they could to help us!

   Overall it’s one of our favorite restaurants and the food is always really well prepared. The noise level can get elevated but I think that is a commonality amongst most popular restaurants where the seating is quite intimate

   We sat at the Chef’s table and everything was top shelf. The Short Rib Cappellaci was amazing! Best lunch experience in the City!!!

    The food is always outstanding. I was a little disappointed that even though we said we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, we didn’t get a candle or any acknowledgment with dessert. (The table next to us got candles.). Also, we don’t understand the obsession with clearing plates while one of us is still eating. The proper etiquette is to wait for the whole table to finish a course before cleaning anything.
