The newly remodeled Surf and Sand Hotel is lovely. Lighter, brighter, beautiful new common areas. Splashes is updated, with a gorgeous Chihuly glass sculpture in the main dining room. Patio areas have new, very comfy seating. Great job on the renovation. Honestly, I found the menu to be very trendy. The food was good, not great, and the prices were high but not ridiculous. Nothing on the menu that would compel me to return right away. As always, the service is excellent. If you are less about the food and more about the views, comfort, ambiance, and service, Splashes is a good choice.

We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and we couldn`t have selected a better place to be! Very quiet and sophisticated, the food, the service, everything was amazing. Can`t recommend it enough!!!

The restaurant has a very nice view to the ocean and mountain in the background. The servers were very attentive though the food took a while to come out. The food was good but quite pricey for what they were.

Seating is a huge factor when you promise water front. It was only two of us. I naturally gave my wife the “back room view” I took the back of the room view at the “employee room” with people as my view. NOT THE WATER. maybe a mirror 🤔

We went for the Thanksgiving dinner event. Unfortunately the entrees didn't meet up to their usual standards. While the scallops were exceptional, although a bit tepid temperature wise, the brisket and turkey were pediatrician and also served too cool in temperature and on cold plates; expected more attention to detail at this level. Turkey white meat was obviously fresh with good flavor, but adorned with flavorless stuffing and tiny amount of cranberry sauce, which is the standout. Served with little sauce on the plate and not a hint of extra available for adding moisture. Should have tried the halibut, it is a place known for its seafood.

Took a day trip down to Laguna and decided on Splashes for lunch. We were not disappointed. The restaurant has a stunning beachfront view and service was exceptional (thank you Kim). The lobster bisque soup was also an unexpected star on the menu. Highly recommend!

So happy they are open after all the up grading it looks fabulous and can’t wait for the bar to open as well very soon :) Everyone was great as always & food was delicious not to mention the beautiful view of the sea 🌊

The food and view were amazing. Our waiter, Patrick, made it a night to remember with amazing food recommendations and impeccable service. It’s not inexpensive , but it’s worth it!
