   First time for 3/5 of us. All three steaks overcooked, 2 devoid of any juiciness (my family won't ever allow me to say anything), scallops overcooked but the Seabass on special that night was delicious. Apps: shrimp cocktail, stuffed mushrooms and meatballs, were good but nothing spectacular. Be aware, if you order a steak accompaniment of mushrooms, they are big enough to be a side dish and very sharable (also very dry), hence the $10 charge I'm assuming. We had two people in our party order them; I feel it would've been in good taste of our server to at least mention the size. Our server was professional and attentive but also mechanical with almost no personality and I don't think she even smiled once. The assistants were on top of refilling waters and clearing plates but were obtrusive in doing so rather than just doing what needs to be done, i.e. if the water is low early in the dinner just refill it rather than asking everyone if they want more, if the plate is empty then remove it rather than asking to do so and if someone is visibly lifting the fork to their mouth don't ask if they are finished. We were celebrating my father's birthday and he did get a lovely creme brulee that we weren't expecting which was very nice and also the tastiest thing we all had that night with a perfectly bruleed top. My parents have been here several times and did say this was not typical of the food, although my dad did mention that this night as well as his previous visit the prime rib was tough and dry. I'm sure they will visit again but the rest of us will probably forego the two hour round trip drive and choose another spot.

   Top notch service and welcoming ambiance with delicious food!!! I enjoyed the ribeye with sautéed onions, baked potato and the Stables salad!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and highly recommend!!! Also, I love the history and the horse stalls!!!

    Our first time visiting Stables we celebrated our anniversary. Reservations were easily made online. We were able to get in early. Upon being seated we were pleasantly surprised with champagne. The atmosphere and servers made the experience feel very intimate and special. Appetizers, drinks, dinner, and dessert were incredible. The portion sizes were perfect and the convenience of servers boxing things up is wonderful! We had a phenomenal experience and overall 10/10.
