   My wife and I dined on Valentines Day, and enjoyed an exceptional meal: baked Brie, parsnip soup, pear salad, shrimp risotto, and Tomahawk pork chop. All brilliant choices! The service was spot on, with a friendly server who made perfect suggestions. We have been dining at Stella for years, and will continue doing so. Great place for special occasions.

   Food and service were good. Our server did, however, make a rather critical error by not communicating with the kitchen a special dietary request and ended up serving a salad containing dairy when specifically asked to have it withheld. As it was for our table, it was not a major concern (sensitivity, not allergy) but could have been much worse for the wrong customer. Food modifications should be given careful attention.

   The service was spectacular, Nevaeh was polite, professional and attentive. We ordered the lasagne which was delicious. The half chicken wasn't quite seasoned to our liking; nevertheless, the portions of chicken and compliments were nice. Hope to give it another go as Stella Modern has been a favorite for some time.

   Went once again to try their special, which on Monday night is a dish they will be serving at their new sister restaurant, Lorena. On this night it was Chicken and Dumplings with a side dish of collard greens and let me tell you they did not disappoint! The dumplings were not too thick and the texture was spot on for some of the best dumplings I have ever had. Mixed that with the perfect sauce and chicken cooked to perfection! It was as an amazing dish and look forward to the opening of Lorena.. The challenge I will have when it does open is to how to choose between Stella and Lorena…. Because Stella is an excellent Italian restaurant and has some of the best dishes in town! Highly recommend you trying them out!

   Went this night to try their Monday night special, which is samples of items that will be serving at their new sister restaurant right next door to them Lorena. It was so amazing I had the appetizer Oysters with hollandaise sauce over a bed of collard greens and then for the main course I had the Chicory Rubbed Prime Teres Major Steak, Red Eye Jus, Water Chestnuts, Carolina Gold Rice and Crawfish Beignets! Let me tell you both were amazing and over the top in favors! So looking forward to Lorena to be open! Until then stop by every Monday night at Stella’s and enjoy a sampling of their menu items!
