Ok, this is not a Michelin star type of place but taken for what it is, my grades reflect it against a gastro pub-like category. On that account, everything is fantastic. Obviously the beers are great and varied but the cuisine, the service (including being able to order via QR code) and value-for-money were far better than expected. Normally I'm not big on ambience in that you can't eat and digest it but in this case, inside and outside absolutely adds to the overall experience and that starts on the walkway from the parking lot.

The service was exceptional. The food was very greasy and unpleasant. The dipping sauce for the bierra melt had a film of orange grease on top. The ahi nachos were also wet with grease. They did comp the nachos but it was not a pleasant experience. Everytime we come to San Diego to visit we look forward to visiting. The food has gone down hill.

We sat outside and the employees were so kind in helping us turn on the heat lamp. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Fun ambiance and good food!

Wonderful experience. The waiter I think his name was Jack was very knowledgeable about the drinks and food. Outstanding customer service and first time experience. Definitely wish I came sooner and will definitely be going back again and again.

Beautiful setting. We were seated outside. Plenty of heaters and we all were very comfortable. We all enjoyed the food. Brussels sprouts are a must!

Tour- 5 stars, fantastic! The tour was amazing- educational and fun with some great beer samples. Can't beat the ambiance in the restaurant, but service was pretty slow, but who's in a hurry when you're enjoying great beer?! Whoever created the Stone Fireside Magic brown ale deserves a big fat raise and an award for the best ale I've ever tasted in my life. Wow wow wow!!!

Service staff “meh”…had to find a host to bring more water and didn’t get checked up on much. I’d guess ageism as we are 4 senior women. Plate sharing and no adult beverages so we were readily ignored. Low ticket price = low attention paid?
