Our menu features Rustic Italian Recipes, Thin Crust Pizzas & Fresh Pastas. Stoneground Italian is located downtown in a second-story loft overlooking the architecturally acclaimed Salt Lake City Public Library. Since opening in 2000, owner Bob McCarthy has been cooking up a dining experience that’s warm, welcoming and firmly planted in his Irish-Italian roots. He takes a simple approach to serving delicious food: always fresh and house-made.
The environment at Stoneground is cool and casual; some describe it as a rustic/urban vibe. You’ll feel comfortable dressed as you are. The window tables have mesmerizing views and are ideal for intimate dining occasions. The outdoor deck seats about 40-people and is the go-to spot for your fair weather celebrations.     Ben was our waiter and the experience was Incredible. Food was fresh and prompt and everything was quality and tasteful. The black tagliatelle was incredible and the lobster was fresh. They made for a beautiful valentines date setting.

    Absolutely one of my al time favorite restaurants. The food is amazing and service is excellent . We come here when we are passing through Salt Lake.

    Great place for casual family meals, date night, ability to have tables put together for larger groups. Service is prompt. Pastas were very rich and tasty, so sharing a couple with a few starters was great for our family.

    One of our favorite places! Great food, service is always fantastic and they allow you to sit and enjoy your time. Not rushing you thru the meal to get next people seated. Highly recommend!

    We had to wait 20 minutes before our waiter came back but after that, the service was excellent.
