Food and cocktails were excellent. Service was adequate. Waitress was more interested in eating her dinner behind the bar instead of taking our order. Once we were able to wave the waitress over, we ordered and received our food quickly. Atmosphere is very nice.

SikhoThai was one of the few restaurants open on New Year's Eve. So, I had a reservation for a party of 2 at Sukhothai in the Marigny last night at 9:45 PM, a few hours before the deadly New Year's Eve of 2025 terrorist attack on Bourbon St. Unfortunately, we arrived 10 minutes late because we were unfamiliar with the area. We did not think arriving 10 minutes late to an empty restaurant only serving 2 tables would be difficult to accommodate, especially because the other two tables were about to get the check. We were rushed into ordering drinks before we could even sit down, and the same thing happened with the menu, the waitress, in a severe and reprimanding tone, stated that the dishes had to be ordered immediately and would come out at the same time. It felt as a reprimand for our lack of punctuality. We got shrimp dumplings and pineapple fried rice with chicken that came to the table instantly delivered by a nice gentleman, but overflowing the table with dishes of all sizes. The dumplings were rubbery, but the rice was good. We were out of there by 10:45 PM. The dinner was not expensive (thank God), but if a restaurant offers to stay open late on holiday, it is meaningless if your customer service is so dull and ready 6to ear like 10 My girlfriend almost engaged into an argument with the waitress over the rushed order. After we paid the check, and left the the entire staff seemed. to be overly nice saying" Happy New Year." But my girl was right; a rushed rushed order are no manners to treat a customer. She was ready before he the event seats I asked her to not to engage into an argument with the waitress , a discussion that would tarnish the festive spirit of the New Yer 2025.

Very sorry that you were not happy with the experience. We were not open late that night. We close at 10pm on Tuesdays. You arrived at 9:55 and the kitchen shuts down at 10pm. Our staff tried to accommodate you, but our apologies for the rush when it's closing time. We will revised our reservation hours on Open Table to stop taking reservations by 9:30pm to avoid this in the future.

Main dish came out cold twice. Very surprised, had great food there over the years.

We had tiger steak and dirty noodles. Fantastic!!! The best pad see ew I’ve had anywhere. The steak was perfect. We will definitely be back… a lot.
