What a lovely dining experience once again. Melissa, our server, was professional and friendly as usual. Lisa and Madison were also very accommodating and attentive to our dining needs. Just an exemplary staff overall. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The duck breast and NY strip were cooked to perfection and the chicken chowder was scrumptious. We enjoyed our dinner with the cozy ambiance and great food and service. Love this local gem.

While others have raved about t at The General Store, I had not eaten there in a few years and under new management and chef. Well...it lived up to what I had been told. I had shrimp and grits and outside of New Orleans, they are the best I've ever had. Tender, sweet shrimp and the sauce over the excellent grits was unlike any I have ever tasted on this dish or any other. Unique and scrumptious. My companion had the rack of lamb and loved it. The waitress was friendly and funny and never seemed stressed even though she handled many tables. She did it with aplomb. I think the decor and ambience are better than in past years, but the chairs are not comfortable, probably because they are the kind you would you use in the office break room. Strange, because the wooden tables were most attractive. That said, I can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the T! The holiday decor was warm and inviting. Susan, our server, was professional and accommodating. The hostess/runner, Madison, is always courteous and friendly, as is Lisa on the staff. The chef and the culinary team provided us with delectable appetizers and main courses. The pea soup was creamy and sweet. The duck and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The fresh brewed iced tea was delicious. What a wonderful gem in our community!

As always everything was great! The food and service never disappoints! I’ve never had a bad meal and neither has anyone I’ve had dinner with at t at the General Store !

Everyone always told us how that it was and it lived up to all of that. The lamb was particularly terrific.

Tonight, the standout dish was definitely the chicken chowder…filled with large chunks of chicken, potatoes and carrots…it was like a warm hug on a cold night. Pork chop…perfect as always. Salmon…perfect as always. Service…truly the best on the eastern shore. If you haven’t been to t before, just go…quickly…and enjoy.

Started off with two perfect cocktails: classic margarita and a martini. Thank you Lisa! The Caesar salads were light, fresh and delicious. The oyster stew was scrumptious: broth was thick and complex with herbs and spices. My roasted duck was cooked perfectly with roasted sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. The pork tenderloin was also very tasty! From start to finish, General T’s is a 5 star ⭐️ culinary delight .
