Taberna Restaurant specializes in both Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine. Chef owned and operated, it offers a diverse menu that features a number of tapas for plate sharing or late night dining. Each dish is stylishly prepared and served. Some items on the menu at Taberna Restaurant include empanadas, stuffed peppers and Spanish sausage along with several seafood dishes such as mussels, scallops and grilled octopus. A separate bar has wine, beer and cocktail service. It is open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner. The chic décor at Taberna Restaurant has many Spanish touches and furnishings. A stylish outdoor courtyard also provides seating on warm days.

    We went for an early Valentine's Day dinner. While the food was great, it took a long time for us to get service at any given moment. They looked very understaffed. We were having a nice romantic dinner so their absence didn't disturb us too much. The food was great. I had the lamb shank. We would come again.

    Food was fabulous. I had the octopus appetizer, my friend had or tried to have the stuffed mushrooms but they never arrived even after we asked about it. The Paella for two amazing! The waiter did offer complimentary dessert but our service plus those around us felt the same. I've heard similar complaints about the Fairfield location. It's a shame because the food really is wonderful.

    There were hardly any servers and all 4 of our meals were brought to the table cold. Even after sending back for reheating they were still not hot enough and fish got overcooked.

    This was our second visit to Taberna and we were not disappointed. We went with family and the warm and friendly atmosphere was so relaxing! We chose s Chilean Wine for dinner and it was perfect. Daniel's Salad was fresh and delicious. The grilled octopus with sliced potato was perfect in every way. My husband enjoyed his potato gnocchi in a bolognese sauce. Everyone in our group of 6 was very pleased with Taberna

    Good As ever. Maybe it's time to freshen up the menu but perhaps its my fault for being there as often as I am.
