Ate at Tamarind on New Year’s Eve 2024. We were greeted warmly and waited a few minutes at the bar for our table. Had really wonderful cocktails and then were seated at a beautiful booth. Our waiter came over immediately to ask for drink orders and let us know about all the different menus there were to choose from. We each ordered the $99. Tasting menu. It was fabulous!! All night was magical because the food, service and ambience was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!!

The best service so far. My waitress was very patient as I heard her help guests pair food to tailor to unique diets. So delicious. We overate and was satisfied!!!!!

Fancy Indian restaurants come and go in NYC but Tamarind is here (and has been for 20+ years) to stay. It’s the most beautiful, elegant and welcoming with the best food and service. It’s my favorite.

Great restaurant, service, and ambience. The food wasn’t up to par this time except the appetizers. We were seated right near a lot of foot traffic even when I’d specifically asked to be seated in good location. We were a little early and then rushed to a seat. I took my family specifically to Tamarind but they were disappointed in the overall experience.

The service was great and the dishes are delicious. My all family were satisfied very much. We ordered samosas, crispy spinach, tandoori chicken, tikka masala and saag paneer. All were delicious but crispy spinach was my daughter’s favorite.

Going here is a dining experience. Superb service. Food is freshly prepared and outstanding. Ambiance and decor is lovely. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for.
