   Always love this restaurant! Food is delicious , have tried so many different appetizers and entrees , which we have always enjoyed. The staff is very gracious and welcoming. It is a very pretty restaurant ,with well spaced tables and very low noise level. It is really a pleasure to dine at Tamarind, so we go often.

   Had a good table an an excellent, knowledgeable server. Lamb chops were huge and well cooked. 2 in our party were vegetarian. All the dishes were flavorful. Kulfi for dessert was very nice. Always a good meal at Tamarind.

   The service, ambiance and attention to detail were all 5 stars. The food was just okay. We’ve had better Indian food in low end restaurants. We had the dal, bindi, and paneer dishes with onion naan. Also had the aloo tikki appetizer and chai tea.

   Wonderful as always. Top notch service and attention to detail. Tried new dishes on the recommendation of our waiter and they were all delicious.

   This is my favorite restaurant in New York City. The food is outstanding. The service is impeccable. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful.

   Overall wonderful. Excellent and personable waiter. A bit hard to discern some of his speech tho. Diverse and very interesting menu, although very few TRADITIONAL Indian dishes if that’s what you’re looking for. The former space was more intimate. This is quite large. Venison chops amazing.

    I first dined at Tamarind in 2000 or 2001, pre 9/11. They were at a different location then--smaller but also wonderful. This time at the Tamarind I was delighted by the same levels of hospitality and care, and I was impressed by the excellent staff who waited on each table. The food is spectacular! Try as many of the dishes as you can. I went for the tasting menu. The scallops were simply outstanding, as was the cauliflower. The lemon rice with all the fixings, and the desserts--the kulfi was out of this world --made for a perfect meal. Wonderful wonderful wonderful!
