Great place! It’s upscale American and the dishes are very tasty. Nice staff and service as well. Only thing I would maybe change is perhaps have more food options. Overall a great experience and I will be back

Food and service very good. One issue is the food comes out too fast despite request to serve a bit more slow

Simply one of the best restaurants around. It was great when I first tried it 4 years ago and it is still utterly delightful.

Tar and Roses has been our favorite special restaurant when we want really great food. The ambience feels like a cozy low lit hip club with a very attentive friendly staff. Try as many dishes that appeal to you because they’re all delicious. A few of our favorites are the balsamic glazed ribs, gnocchi, oxtail ravioli, acorn squash (new), mushrooms, hangar and ribeye steaks, whole fish… oh well, most of the menu really. Had a wonderfully enjoyable evening.

It was our first time there and we were delightfully impressed. We had the liver pate and it was delicious. Then we shared the lamb shank and it was filled with flavor. Our guests had the snapper en crut and not only was it delicious it was a picture to behold. Don’t miss the vegetables. Very tasty.

Loved the food, especially their specialty fish dish. Never had any fish prepared that way before and extremely delicious.

A wonderful visit as always. I felt sad to see that it was so quiet and sparse the night we went! It was the fourth night after the fires began and it made me worry about the ripple effects of the fires and how many people would be hurt by this, including restaurants filled with beautiful staff like this. Please go and eat their delicious food and talk with the wonderful people who work there! It would lift everyone’s spirits!
