Locally sourced and seasonally inspired, Tavern on Kruse changes menus every 12 weeks as we weave the season's perfectly-fresh and perfectly ripe bounty into our offerings. Our executive chef, Nathan Bates, spent four and half years at the Michelin 3-Star "Fifth Floor" in San Francisco. Our space is elegant, but our staff is friendly and jovial as we see "people" as the reason for dining. We look forward to meeting you.

We have another 90 seats outdoors split between two patios which can be rented separately or in conjunction with indoor space, bringing our total event capacity to 200.     Dining area was draped off from the bar area which was a unique way to section the two areas. Noise could still be heard from the bar. However we were seated by the door and despite the efforts to keep the cold out my wife was could through our dinner. I appreciate the effort to section off the cold but it was still a bother. Food was good but the Pork Oso Buccu I was looking forward to ordering ran out. The ravioli was a good substitute so perhaps an earlier reservation to get full options from the menu might be needed.

    Hi Richard. I have contracted for a giant divider to separate the entry from the nearest tables that was supposed to be installed prior to the weekend. The stain used made it almost black and I asked the carpenter to sand and restain to match the front desk. I expect it will be in by tomorrow night to solve this problem. I'm sorry we missed you by a couple of day. Kent

    The HH menu has been horrible for some time. Our waitress didn’t smile once and generally didn’t want to be there helping our group or anyone for that matter. I had to ask a few times to have our group of 6 plates to be cleared after an aweful HH food experience. Cheese dip was so gross, fries undercooked with overdone steak bites, salads yuk!

    Amy is an excellent server...made us feel right at home. All of the drinks and food were awesome. Prices were very reasonable.

    Had 2 dinner salads one with salmon and one with steak. The portion of the salmon was way too small and the server 100% agreed and had them bring another piece of salmon, but it never came until we were finished. For the salad with steak I asked if I could have a steak knife from 3 different servers and I never received one Definitely disappointed

    Service was fantastic and cocktails magnificent- makes great food taste it’s best. Thanks to all the crew that made it happen. I highly recommend this restaurant

    Lackluster service, packed bar, the food was mostly ok but not appropriate for the price. Quality control was clearly lacking. Some of the pasta was too thin and overcooked, some too think and chewy. One of the lights was flickering badly. Looking up you could see the cobwebs. Overall, three stars is being very generous

    The server forgot to put in my entree order, or the kitchen forgot to make it. Everyone else’s food came out, and I was sitting and waiting assuming mine would arrive shortly, but no. The food had been delivered by people other than our server, so when we called her over to check on my food, she went away and came back and said they were making it. I told her to forget it as by that time the other people in my party were almost done, and would have had to sit there and watch me eat. Very disappointing.

    Hostess was very nice. Waitress was very nice. Service was slow. Crab and artichoke dip was barely warm and very little crab. Would never order that again. Shortrib pasta was very good. Steak and fries was average. Oswego steak with potatoes and Brussel sprouts was excellent. Blue cheese sauce amazing. Pumpkin cheese cake just ok. Would not order that again. Ice cream was good. Excellent wine selection at expected prices.

    Cons: There was essentially nothing for vegetarians. The side salad without cheese was a giant mass of greens that make you feel like you’re a dinosaur in Jurassic Park. It was frigid because we were seated near the door. The music was blaring. Pros: Our server was lovely and professional. The non-alcoholic drinks were delicious.
