Tavern On The Green will be offering our Holiday Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from November 30th-December 29th. This is priced at $95 per adult, $65 per child and does not include beverages or tax. A 20% gratuity will be added to all checks.

Dress Code: Smart Casual. Jacket and Tie are Not Required.
* We do not permit sleeveless shirts for gentlemen nor athletic/running/jogging attire for any patrons in the main restaurant.

                                        We dined at Tavern on the Green for their Holiday Brunch Prix Fixe. As always, the ambiance was excellent - beautiful holiday decor, and just a lovely building in general. The food was good - nothing revolutionary, but almost everything tasted good, with the highlights being the the desserts (pumpkin cheesecake, eggnog crème brûlée), the shrimp cocktail, and the bacon and egg flatbread. The bread basket left a little to be desired - some of the selections were much better than others, and some were quite dry. The value was decent. It was on the pricey side ($95 + 20% auto-gratuity per person), but we knew the cost going in and were fine with paying that price. It was also a lot of food! (Shared bread basket, appetizer, entree, and dessert.) The service was e major knock for us. Our server was pleasant enough, but not at all attentive, and the pacing of the meal was strange - the bread and appetizers came in quick succession (so much so that we couldn’t eat much of the bread before the appetizers showed up), the entrees seemed to be timed well, then we waited forever for desserts and, finally, the check. We seemed to have to chase our waitress down for things like water refills, coffee refills, and sugar for coffee, as well. It wasn’t terrible service, it just wasn’t good service. Overall, despite the mediocre service, we still enjoyed our brunch. We’d come back, but we’re not running to come back ASAP.

                                        The restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holiday. The food took too long to come out and was cold. We sat for 12 minutes with no water during our meal. It was a cool experience but we will never go back.
