We’ve been going to Taverna for a long time and were somewhat concerned about the new owner(s), the management, and the food. First off, we appreciated the addition of valet parking. Second, we were very impressed with the new manager (Chewy?). He seemed very knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. Our server (Juan) did a good job. The wine selection was not to our liking. The food was delicious but a bit too pricey.

We were not staying at the resort but we stopped in for dinner. Great views, drinks, food and service.

We love dining at Taverna's! The valet parking is nice addition. The parking lot use to fill up quickly. From the hostess to the servers everything was great. My wife had the fish special and I had the lasagna. Both were great! We also shared the bread and burrata. We split the berry cheesecake. Drinks are very good and the Justin cab was good too ! Thanks Taverna!!!

Ordered the focaccia bread with balsamic dipping oil. No flavor! Had to ask for salt and pepper to put flavor in the balsamic dipping oil which was mostly olive oil. I dumped out lots of olive oil to taste the balsamic and added salt and pepper. Very low grade balsamic! Could definitely use seasonings. Buratta appetizer was different and was deconstructed. Two slices of grilled bread, (2) cherry tomatoes sliced, 1 teaspoon of pesto on the side with a ball of buratta. We added balsamic from the dipping oil to flavor up the appetizer. However, all ingredients were fresh. Ordered short rib pasta. Very Flavorful, but the serving size was for a child. Thank goodness my wife ordered pizza which was a generous size and very delicious. Can’t go wrong with pizza made in the outdoor pizza oven. Dessert was a huge disappointment! Waiter said it was a strawberry cheesecake with sauce on top, covered with caramelized hazelnuts and two chocolate dipped strawberries. What we received was two tiny bitter strawberries on the side with a square piece of dry cheesecake sitting on congealed sauce with a sprinkle of hazelnuts on the plate! The cheesecake was so dry we had to ask for extra strawberry sauce. Staff, service and atmosphere were good. Overall, the focaccia and cheesecake dessert need an overhaul. Main entrees were flavorful!

Very beautiful setting. The hostess was wonderful, the bartenders were great and the server was good. The food was very good.

Food was EXCELLENT! Service was OK. Not attentive at all. 2nd visit in 1 week. Same experience. Great food, poor service. Just feel forgotten about. Oh well. Lots of people working so you just flag down someone else for water refills.

Atmosphere is very nice, we sat outside. Our server Elena was both charming and caring to our needs. I had the seafood stew, highly recommend this dish.

Excellent Opakapaka dinner. Restaurant is always a go to in West Maui. Wood fire pizza is also delicious.

We always love coming to Taverna, great food, beautiful view & ambiance …. Quiet enough so you can comfortably enjoy your evening out with friends. Easy parking whether you valet or self park.
