   So happy to learn about Taverna! The lasagna was delicious! Loved sitting outside with such a beautiful view. Ashley served us and we loved her! She was helpful and kind and we enjoyed talking to her. Will come back every year we are here!

   Great service, cool atmosphere & good food. The restaurant is very noisy, but otherwise highly recommend.

   It was our last night on Maui and we chose Taverna for our anniversary dinner. Awesome service from the time we walked in until we left. Juan was our server, made recommendations that we took advantage of and they did not disappoint. Chewy came to wish us a Happy Anniversary and to tell us mote about Taverna and Kapalua. What an awesome evening and experience. It wil be one of first stops when we return Mahalo Taverna

   Another great meal on the patio at Taverna! I think this was our third time during our month long stay. we were greeting by the hostess when we arrived. We had time for a Mai Tai at the bar before we're seated on the patio. Tad was our server and he did a great job. We started with the warm bread and olive oil/balsamic with some Hawaiian sea salt for dipping. We also added the burrata appetizer. I had the lasagna and my wife had the fresh fish special which tasted great! We even had room for the apple tart with ice cream. Lance the manager took time to stop by and visit. Thanks Lance and team for another great evening at Taverna!!!

   One of our favorites on Maui. Unique twists to classic dishes that keep us coming back. Service is always excellent!

   We waited a half hour after being seated before our server appeared. Guests seated after us ordered before we were even approached. Our server only came to our table twice, even though we asked for more olive oil from the kitchen server. The compressed watermelon salad was fabulous, but our other dishes were average at best. We didn't stay for dessert as we'd waited so long for service at every step.

   The ambience was nice outside on the patio and had high hopes for a great meal. After getting our drinks and ordered, it took forever to get our main course which each were over $50. When they did arrive one of the dinners was lukewarm like it had been sitting out for a while. Also they tried to take our bread that we paid for off our table twice when we weren’t finished with it. Just not a great experience for a very expensive meal. We won’t go back.

    We have been to Taverna several times through the years but the service tonight was not that good. It seemed like they were understaffed or just lacked follow up. Meals were dropped off without asking if anything else was needed. My wife’s carbonara was the best entree. However the lasagne was bland and lukewarm. The barrata appetizer could have used more than a half slice of cold crostini for the pesto sauce. To pay a 4% service fee for 2-star service will make me consider other options.
