   We decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day one day late and chose the perfect spot for a romantic, intimate setting. The food was outstanding as was the level of service. Perfect for a romantic evening!

   Valet was great! Showed up to reservations 10 minute before scheduled. Was seated 20 minutes after scheduled reservation. Server seemed overwhelmed, took 20 minutes to get cocktails ordered and water filled in glasses another 10 minutes to get the drinks. Ordered our three course meals. Food was not worth $95 a person to dine. From time we were seated to time we got dessert it was almost 2 hours. I’m sure this is not the standard for a place of this caliber but I’d sure did not sit well for our first time dining here.

   Our first time dining here. Food was excellent but service was fair. We were there for Valentines dinner. Prix fix dinner with wine pairing. Wait staff need training in fine dining service. With each course came a pre filled glass of wine. Waiter was not knowledgeable of the wine nor did he offer any info about it - just sat it down and walked away. When the main course came ( filet), the bus boy poured a 2 oz glass of red wine. When questioned about the tiny amt his response was “I actually gave you more than I’m supposed to.” For $145/person in a fine restaurant, our expectation was greater than what was delivered - for sure. Rushed, abit impersonal.

   My girlfriend and I went there for the Valentines day menu. The food was delicious from the appetizer of Oyster Rockefeller to my entree of perfectly cooked duck. Frankly the food helped save the evening along with our choice of cocktails, the house Old Fashioned and their Manhattan. Had it not been a prepaid reservation with gratuity included, we would have left before we had our appetizer which took about 45 minutes to an hour to get to us from when we sat down. The entree took about an hour and a half to show up dragging out our entire evening. While I wasn't expecting a 45 minute sit down meal, I did not expect it to take just shy of 2.5 hours to go from check in to departure with three courses in between. I was surprised at the level of noise in the Terrace room, making it very difficult to have conversation without speaking quite loudly so the person at the table next to us could hear better than the person we were trying to share an evening with. The service throughout the evening was tolerable, though it took about 10 minutes before we even knew who our server was. The manager was nice and did check on us and it was good to see him helping get food to tables. But with the kitchen backed up terribly and money paid, there really wasn't anything he could have done personally to make the evening better.

   The Valentine’s Day was perfect! Everything was tasty and the service was excellent. Would definitely do it again.

   Wonderful experience and excellent GF options. I would only ask for a tea cozy to keep teapot warm

    This was a special Valentine’s Day High Tea with champagne, Valentine’s Day hot tea and all the savories and sweets one could possibly want for a High Tea - Highly recommended for friends or couples looking for a relaxing afternoon with live Irish Harp music accompanying your lovely and filling tea sandwiches, savories, sweets and a fantastic parsnip soup -
