   Teske’s Germania is a terrific restaurant. The food is great. And it’s a pretty restaurant. This is an authentic German restaurant and you’ll get all the classic dishes made extremely well. The appetizers were delicious. The potato pancakes with apple sauce was just perfect. And they give you big portions on the plate. The brussel sprouts were amazing, and they could also be a great side dish with the entrees. Don’t miss the schweinshaxe. This is amazing.! Make sure you go to Teske’s with a healthy appetite because you will eat well there. And for such fine food, it’s quite reasonably priced. The apple strudel for dessert is their classic serving it for the over forty years and its great. Teske’s has been around over forty years in the same place. The current ownership is keeping true with the original cuisine of this restaurant and maybe it’s only getting better! Next time we have to try the Black Forest cake. .

   Always a good place, no matter the occasion or event, for truly authentic properly prepared delicious German Bavarian style food and beer. Part of the restaurant feels as if you are in a country home, one part feels like you are in a hunting lodge, yet when you first walk in, it's like stepping into a typical German bar warm and cozy. It was Valentines day and the service was very attentive despite it being busy. The pacing was relaxed but not slow and all the dishes were beautifully presented. It's one of the few nicer places that is also family friendly.

   Great Valentine day experience. Authentic German food and beer. Server was excellent and always came back to check our meals. We definitely return or highly recommend all of friends to this restaurant.

   We enjoy coming to this place every Valentine's. The food was always good and I enjoy the pork shank every year. Feels like a family business as you see the same people every year. We will be taking our parents there soon.

   I loved their Jägerschnitzel mit Unserer Speziellen Pilzsoße, Hausegemachten Spätzle ($24.00), which is a breaded pork cutlet with a white wine mushroom sauce served with homemade noodles. The sauce was rich and flavorful. My husband had their Schweinshaxe mit Kartoffelsalat und Sauerkraut ($34.00) - baked pork shank with potato salad and sauerkraut. It was huge and very tender! We completed our meal with desserts. Their Bienenstich (Bee Sting Cake) is divine! We also had their Sacher Torte. The service was good, but our server seemed busy. Great selection of German beers.

   It's been a long while since we last visited Teske's as we are a little over an hour's drive away. Generally the food is well worth the drive. But things have changed since last time we've been there and it's obvious that Teske's has needed to cut corners in order to survive the 'axe' that so many other restaurants have seen. The meals no long come with a soup, salad and dessert (all of which now need to be ordered additionally) and the preparation varies greatly from plate to plate. I could be mistaken but the red cabbage tastes store-bought as does the spätzle. I can make the store-bought versions at home myself. While the desserts have always been prepared outside and brought in, the vendor must have changed and the quality of the desserts is not what they once used to be. Don't misunderstand me, it's not bad food, but rather, it's simply lost it's luster and no longer worth the drive. There are several other German restaurants that are much closer and we'll probably frequent those instead to see if any of them can take the place of our once loved restaurant.
