Le Texas de Brazil propose une nouvelle expérience en matière de cuisine gastronomique. Ce restaurant est une authentique churrascaria, un steakhouse américano-brésilien, proposant une cuisine du sud du Brésil servie dans la plus pure tradition texane. Le bar à salades sert plus d'une cinquantaine de plats différents, notamment des amuse-gueules, des légumes frais, des soupes et des salades. Not sure if my experience is due to the fact that my son and I were dining here on a Wednesday evening at the downtown San Antonio location near the River Walk, but the food was mediocre and service was a bit slow. First, they seat us at a huge 6 top because they are seating guests by servers not party size (okay, fair). Then, when the meats start coming out, some are tepid (like barely reheated), some are really tough (like the parmesan chicken leg) as if they were sitting out a for most of the night, and others were raw (the pichana lamb). Server was attentive to our drinks and sides, and the gauchos were as well. My son and I are big fans of Brazilian BBQ, and this one missed the mark for us.

The service was terrible. Ordered cocktails that never came, but got charged for. Ordered desert that never came, Waiter did not clear plates, bring water, had to go get the pitcher ourselves off the cart. Overall very disappointing experience, I would not recommend.

We made a reservations for 6:00. We arrived 5 minutes early and checked in. We were told they had big parties so our table wasn’t ready. We talked with the manager at 6:30 who told us we were next. He then went and got another party and seated them, who came in after us. When asking him about it he said his GM made that decision. We then spoke with him and he said we would be next. We finally got seated at 6:40. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and they did nothing. We won’t go back!

We made a reservation for 7:30 pm and upon arrival at 7:25, we were told the wait will be 60 - 90 minutes. Why make a reservation if that is the wait? Horrible.

We had a 7:15 reservation and did not get seated until 8:30. Then they would barely wait on us. Seemed like we the customers were an inconvenience.

Waited almost an hour after our reservation time. Food was good but service appeared overwhelmed by the convention crowd. Way overpriced given we were very frustrated and starving by the time we were seated. When you’re that hangry, it’s hard to enjoy the actual food. Restaurant was loud and very cold where we were seated up front (in all fairness, temp outside was freezing) but they could have turned the heat up. Wasn’t worth almost $300 for four people with the poor experience.

Overall good experience. The waitress was not tentative to our group. Had to ask her several times for refills. Did a horrible job explaining the process of ordering. Did not provide clean plates once we were done with salads and moving into the dinner experience.

My overall rating for this establishment was 3.5. I had certainly enjoyed my experiences at the Texas De Brazil in the Dallas area a few years ago. Tonight , my wife and I were both disappointed in our overall experience. Price wasn't an issue, we anticipated a great experience. The prices we paid didn't match the "ok" service. Our waiter had to be told twice we wanted chicken. He checked on us a few times but never asked about refills on drinks. The salad bar was ok. However there's opportunity for a wider variety, that includes desserts. We 've been to similar steakhouses and the level of service and professionalism was unmatched. We will not return.
