Our helpful and friendly staff create a relaxed environment for our locals visitors and their dogs to enjoy, a perfect meeting place for friends. We had the best time, the food was excellent. We had the roast pork dinner. The pork was of such good quality.

Roast Beef was excellent! Table set ups were a bit all over the place, but it’s a pub, so fair enough. Mulled wine was also terrific!

Our Sunday roasts were not great. Mine was cold, another was a meager portion. The third was okay.

Lovely Sunday roast , I had the beef , the Yorkshire was huge ! My guest had the vegan Wellington which was very much enjoyed .

Booked for our group assuming it would be busy in a pub on a Friday (had been a few years ago and remembered it as a great pub). But at 8:30 when we arrived, it was empty. No atmosphere and the same children’s party music (S Club 7) that had been playing when I’d popped in earlier that evening. They weren’t serving pizzas, had run out of pies and the burgers we ordered arrived lukewarm. Both options of free drink from the Dusk app were unavailable due to the spirits not being in stock. Bar and kitchen staff seemed in a rush to close. At 9pm. In a pub. On a Friday.

Hi Rose, firstly thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Fridays generally from 4-7 are very family heavy, after school vibe and has always been this way during term time. Our pizza chef fell ill quickly and was sent home hence the no pizza and early pack up of the kitchen leaving one chef alone, very unfortunate but unavoidable this instance. the pub was open until 23.30 so perhaps a misunderstanding. The DUSK app we do not operate, when we run out of product we have to wait for them to remove it. Its a free drink, some are more popular than others and run out AND we dont always know what the drink is going to be, to order plenty. thats said we apologise sincerely for your poor experience, we'd love to turn this around for you i hope you join us again! We originally booked a table outside, but the weather was terrible so when we arrived they confirmed they had proactively moved our booking inside. There was a lot of choice with food and the portions sizes were very generous when they arrived.

In the back streets of East Dulwich, the food and service is always good for Sunday Lunch. Avoid the busy pubs in Lordship lane and come here.
