   Great food as per usual! Fantastic staff restaurant is upstairs, it's nice and comfortable. Food is piping hot. It's our regular, so we usually take our guests there. It never disappoints.

   This was our first time in Edinburgh experiencing a Sunday roast. The restaurant was quiet, clean, and the staff were extremely nice! We are celebrating our honeymoon and the wonderful staff gave us a round of drinks on the house - so unexpected and we’re so grateful! As far as the food, it was pretty good. I had the chicken roast and my husband got the mac&cheese. My only critique is that the green beans in the roast were pretty plain, but everything else was superb!

   Food was very good but the service was terrible. Drinks order and main courses were taken promptly. However, we sat for 30 minutes without being offered a dessert menu and in the end we just asked for the bill and left. There were 3 staff serving but they appeared inexperienced and it seemed that there was no one who was managing/supervising the restaurant. Disappointed with the service compared to our previous visit.

   Four of us dined at lunchtime on a Wednesday and had booked in advance. It soon got busy so I would advise booking in advance. 2 had steak pie chips and vegetables and it was the best steak pie we'd ever had. Chips were freshly cooked and piping hot. 2 had burgers and they were excellent too. Desserts were also delicious. A faultless meal for us. Service was also top class. Have booked again during our trip to Edinburgh.

   We had a fantastic meal this evening, enjoying traditional Scottish foods, drinking local small batch beer in a lovely setting. The Haggis Bon Bon’s were delicious!
