Whether you are looking for a place to celebrate your birthday, to have an elegant lunch, or romantic dinner our beautifully decorated cake shop is the perfect place. Please note, for Afternoon Tea reservations, please contact our Events team directly.

Delicious three-layer cakes, as well as cheesecakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts fill our elegantly designed display case and are served daily. For the savory side, we offer an expanded lunch and dinner menu featuring some traditional dishes as well as our signature quiche and chicken salad. Our menu changes seasonally, to ensure every experience is a new one. Everything on our menu is house made from scratch daily with our commitment to the highest quality and ingredients. Gwendolyn's Cake Bake Shop has become the destination of Indianapolis for celebrating birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and all life's special occasions.

You go here for the experience and the cake. The food is good, it’s loud and crowded and the service was fair. If you’re looking for a cool experience for a birthday it’s just that.

It was completely magical! Loved the decor and the special treatment for my birthday! It was so wonderful! I always love the cake!

Our waitress provided amazing service keeping drinks full and being attentive. The food was amazing and very clean.

The food was delicious. The venue is beautiful. Service was very slow although the restaurant was half full. Drinks took forever. Our server was sweet, however, she brought our food and disappeared. Never saw her again until 10 minutes after we were done eating to check in to see if we needed anything. She gave a sweet birthday pixie dust wish to my granddaughter. Overall it was a very nice experience.

This place has been incredibly hyped for years, and my mom and I have talked about visiting for a very long time. We were so excited to finally make the trip to come visit for a special mother/daughter lunch. Unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed with the entire experience. While it was pretty inside, that did not make up for the slow service, super cramped seating situation, overpriced menu, and sub-par food and coffee. This place could really use some love and attention to detail to help revive it and live up to the Instagram hype.

It was the 1st time at Cake Bake for myself and a dear friend who is just finishing up chemo. I asked our amazing server Gigi to help celebrate my friend being cancer free. Gigi and the staff went above and beyond. They brought out balloons and a card and made my friend feel like the queen she is. The food and ambience was amazing. We were both touched at the service and attention we received. Thank you Gigi and Cake Bake. Can't wait to come back! Detra and Jenny🩷
