    We recently visited The Capital Grille to celebrate a special occasion, and while there were some highlights, the experience overall was underwhelming, particularly for the price point. I ordered the Scallops with Maine Lobster and Asparagus Risotto, and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The rice was undercooked yet somehow mushy, the scallops were not properly seared and had a rubbery texture, and the dish was served cold. For $60, the portion was disappointingly small, and the quality just wasn’t there. On a brighter note, the Fried Lobster Tails were divine and a highlight of the meal. My partner, whose birthday we were celebrating, ordered the 16-ounce Filet Oscar-style, and while he asked for medium well, it came out well done. He chose to eat it, but the overcooked steak was a letdown, especially at this caliber of restaurant. The cocktails were another disappointment; they weren’t particularly memorable, but we drank them anyway. Thankfully, the wine selection was enjoyable and helped salvage the meal. The ambiance was lovely, and the staff was pleasant. Our waiter was kind and accommodating, though service was a bit delayed due to how busy the restaurant was, which is understandable. Overall, while the atmosphere and a few dishes stood out, the quality of the food didn’t justify the steep prices. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, we expected much better.

    Excellent experience! Arrived early, started with wine and lamb chops at the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Moved to a table… had two Kona rubbed NY Strips and a bone in rib eye with asparagus and truffle fries! Great service! Great time! Thank you!
