    The scallops I got were delicious, albeit the accompanying asparagus risotto a little salty. Still, With the lavash bread and brown bread with raisins, it made a filling meal. The restaurant was packed that night, but we could still easily hear each talk, a big plus. CG is getting pricey, but the food is worth it as well as the service. We requested Lindsay Saulsberry’s table, and she is the same superb service that we had other day for lunch.

    I am always overwhelmed by the large portions at high-end steak houses. I often order just a shrimp cocktail and a salad, even though I do love good beef. This time I went for dinner with a friend and she also was overwhelmed with the options of mostly large portions. We asked if we could split a 10 ounce filet mignon and have it served on a salad and they were gracious to accommodate our request. We each had two glasses of very nice wine — and our bill was about $100 each.

    As usual, food was superb and to our liking. Our server Michelle, who we have had in the past, was very welcoming and pleasant, and checked on us frequently. A great experience

    This IS a splurge spot❣️ & if you like “Pittsburgh”style steak (crusty outside & rare/med-rare inside) the Capital Grille (& maybe one other “DC” steakhouse) has the kitchen equipment to get 🔥hot enough to accomplish the amazing meat feat. The Greeting, the Food AND The Service all sensational. Our waiter, Cody, was integral to a brilliant evening: professional, pleasant, helpful and attentive — without being intrusive 🏆 Thank you for another memorable evening 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

    The server did not know how to open the bottle of wine. They served the appetizer second. This is the first time we have such a bad experience at The Capitol Grill. But food was very good as usual.
