   Dined yesterday at Cap grill KOP to celebrate 2 x birthdays. Everything from food quality, service and nice touch by restaurant offering 2 desserts were all superb, Our server ( sorry forgot her name) was very attentive but not intrusive, all orders arrived as ordered. Definitely will return in the near future.

   First Farouk was amazing. It was my daughter’s Birthday and he made sure her evening was grand. Started w champagne which the ladies enjoyed. Apps were good, not great. The tuna tartare was fresh but lacked any seasonings. The seafood tower was average, shrimp were almost frozen, lobster was so/so was not fresh that day. Oysters were best part. We all had steaks, everyone at table ordered medium, expect mine, which was suppose to be medium rare. Wife’s and daughter’s steaks were cooked perfect. They loved it. I went w the bone in ribeye. The steak was well pass medium well, grisly, and fat that was sinuous. I love ribeyes and this was a big miss. The Oscar was lukewarm at best. Sides were sides ok, nothing special. I rarely eat out, because of situations like this, it’s a shame that a P lace like this, let’s that quality of food come out of the kitchen.

   Everything was excellent and perfect. It’s very busy during this time of year so I was excepting things to be a little slow i.e food, service and what not, which is totally fine and understandable but we were pleasantly surprised when everything was perfectly timed and we never felt rushed or felt waiting for things. Food was amazing and on Point. Always a great and fun experience.

   We love Capital Grille, but our meal today was disappointing and not as great as it normally is. The calamari and French fries were both not fried at the right temperature, so they were soggy and greasy. The steak was good, but the spinach was not seasoned. The service was great so maybe it was just an off day for the food.

   Capital Grille is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is amazing, thank you Merissa, the food is beyond delicious. We love it!

    Let me start by saying that our server was very gracious. The hostess upon arrival told us to “sit and wait” because she had a corner booth for us. After waiting , we were sat at a four top by the front door. Far cry from what we were told. The seafood tower was just ok. I ordered a cocktail that was served in what looked like a yeti cup. Not acceptable. Ceasar salad was soggy. French onion soup was nice. My tuna for main course was terrible. Not only was presentation bad , but the cut looked like it was from an end and wasn’t cooked properly. I sent it back and the server said “she would punch the chef “ if it didn’t come back good. In all, the “experience” for 775$ for 4 people just didn’t work for me. I have dined at several CP and this Philly experience at KOP was typical I should have known for the area. Wouldn’t recommend or go back.
