Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. We had dinner during Stamford’s restaurant week and The Capital Grill never disappoints. Our server, Jordan, was amazing. She was very detailed and caring throughout the evening, checking in on us. Everything was amazing.

Yes it’s restaurant week but we also have our favs We went Wednesday and were more than please with our server urksula. She is also a Sommelier. Delightful and professional every minute. Thursday we attended again and requested Emily. We have had Emily prior and her service is spectacular!!! Always anticipating without being invasive. A true professional and I invite you to request her services when you reserve at Open Table

First tried to seat us in far, dark corner next to exit door in overflow room, had to ask for “regular” table because so much cold coming through the door, it kills ne when hostess walks us by tons of empty tables. Our server Andreas was great. Food was great, wife’s strip steak was rare not medium as asked for, they offered to recite but it already looked charred on outside

Very nice bday lunch for my nephew. They had a nice card and happy bday decorations on the table. We had Caesar salad, and all three of us had cheeseburgers. Great value for $22 as it comes with truffle fries. Service was excellent. They even brought out a complimentary dessert with a candle. My only regret is that in hindsight, I should've left an even bigger tip.

Great experience for Valentines Day. Our waitress was top notch!!! I believe her name was Emily. She was very knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant. My fiancée shared that she was pregnant and even though we didn’t want dessert, she surprised her with a plate that said congratulations w/desserts on it. She also brought out two champagne glasses with ginger ale in it. I thought that was very thoughtful of her to do and I was very pleased with her service. The food was pretty good. The porterhouse and the lamb was scrumptious. Will definitely go back for the experience. I also like how the brought out roses for all the ladies for Vday when the check was brought out!!! Very cool!

It was Valentines Day so I’m sure they were somewhat overwhelmed…however, in Sarasota, FL it is our favorite restaurant! Our waiter was wonderful, but it was obvious that he had been told to “turn the tables as quickly as possible “! The “assistants to the waiters were wearing stained aprons… The bread was average. The appetizer (oysters) were nothing special, dinner was underwhelming…my very expensive Sea Bass was very small and overcooked. On the other hand my husbands steak was raw (not medium as ordered) so it had to be sent back. In a restaurant of this caliber you would expect a fresh plate and a fresh steak…nope! Same plate, same steak! The au gratin potatoes were mush, couldn’t eat them! They put an emphasis on dress code (i.e., no jeans, t shirts, etc.)..,yet, few were even business casual…our reservation was for 6:30, on VD we were in & out in an hour…valet parking is a joke, don’t waste your $$$…just such a disappointing experience…Hope this helps with your decision on dining!
